Play to 50 / 75 / 100 / 150
Changes the score that ends the game. The base rules end the game once any player’s total reaches 100. This variant lets you pick a different threshold instead: 50, 75, 100, or 150.
Nothing else about the game changes: passing, following suit, scoring per hand, and shooting the moon all work exactly as in the base rules. Only the finish line moves.
- 50 or 75: a shorter game, over in fewer hands.
- 100: the standard length.
- 150: a longer game, useful if you want more hands to even out bad luck (or if you’re also playing with Jack of Diamonds and want extra room; that variant defaults to 75 for its own reasons, but you can pick any threshold here).
As with the base game, the game ends the instant any player’s total reaches or passes the chosen number, and the player with the lowest total at that point wins (shared if tied).
